Golden Vampire Pleco

Remarks: The Golden Vampire Pleco is endemic to the Xingu river in Brazil. Mature fish will take on a beautiful golden hue that pairs nicely with their black spots. Plecos of the Leporacanthicus genus typically enjoy meatier foods such as bloodworms and snails- but will adapt to a more omnivorous diet in captivity. They are known to be more passive and smaller compared to others in their genus, but can still be a bit territorial to conspecifics.
