They look similar to \u003cem\u003eB. pulcher\u003c\/em\u003e but differ in that the latter has a longer, more pointed snout. They also look a lot like \u003cem\u003eH. schwartzi \u003c\/em\u003ethat also has a similar name. What sets them apart is that \u003cem\u003eH. schwartzi \u003c\/em\u003ehas more broken up lines that tend to be a series of dots rather than stripes and the s\u003cspan\u003euper Schwartzi \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eHoplisoma have brighter white spines. In the wild, they can be found in the clear, fairly fast moving waters of the Rio Purus in Peru and do best in the aquarium if these conditions are replicated through frequent water changes and heavy oxygenation. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe super Schwartzi Hoplisoma w\u003c\/span\u003eas previously classified as \u003cem\u003eCorydoras sp.
