They belong to a group of similar looking \u003cem\u003eHoplisoma\u003c\/em\u003e from the Rio Negro, but are typically considered the best looking species due to how vibrant their orange spot gets. Adolfo’s \u003cem\u003eHoplisoma\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e naturally live in extremely soft, acidic waters rich with tannins and will do best in captivity when these conditions are replicated. This can be achieved through the use of an RODI machine as well as the addition of wood and botanicals such as Indian almond leaves.
